![]() The level 2 technician never called me at the appointed time. I contacted Microsoft Answer Desk and a level 1 technician failed to solve my problem in 1 hour. I am unsure where the WU catastrophic situation comes from. ![]() I had installed Windows 10 starting with a Windows 7 clean install, then upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. ![]() Windows 10 for me is a test environment with little use. I reverted to 'factory settings', then upgraded to Version and re-applied 'factory settings', and today the same with Version. I had applied the recommended settings in ShutUp10. I must ask you a question - roughly about the same time as I installed version, WU (Windows Update) started failing daily with Error 0x8000ffff and one update with 0x80070643 (KB2538243). My thanks for this little application: I appreciate it and the way individual functions are documented.
